Kerajaan mendakwa kualiti RON97 lebih baik berbanding RON95. Disebabkan kualiti yang lebih baik, kerajaan menetapkan harga runcit RON97 sebanyak RM2.90 seliter manakala RON95 yang kurang berkualiti pada harga RM1.90 seliter. Jika dilihat, memang jelas RON97 (RM2.90) berharga lebih RM1 daripada RON95 (RM1.90).

Tetapi, kerajaan juga begitu bangga menyatakan bahawa petrol RON95 telah diberi subsidi kerana rakyat diutamakan. Bukan sedikit tetapi subsidi dan cukai berjumlah RM1.45 terpaksa ditanggung oleh kerajaan bagi menetapkan harga runcit RON95 pada paras RM1.90 seliter.

Dengan harga RM1.90 seliter dan ditambah nilai subsidi RM1.45 seliter yang ditanggung oleh kerajaan, maka harga RON95 TANPA SUBSIDI ialah RM3.35 manakala RON97 yang lebih berkualiti tetapi TANPA sebarang subsidi hanya berharga RM2.90!

Sekiranya kedua-dua gred petrol dijual TANPA sebarang subsidi, maka harga RON95 (RM3.35) lebih tinggi daripada RON97 (RM2.90). Petrol yang lebih berkualiti lebih murah daripada petrol yang kurang berkualiti!

Jika begitulah halnya, adalah lebih baik kerajaan menukarkan subsidi RM1.45 seliter yang diberikan kepada petrol gred RON95 (yang kurang berkualiti) dan memindahkan subsidi berkenaan kepada petrol RON97. Rakyat akan menikmati petrol yang berkualiti lebih baik dengan harga yang jauh lebih murah. Dengan kadar subsidi RM1.45, harga petrol gred RON97 dapat dinikmati oleh rakyat dengan harga RM1.45 seliter!  (RM2.90 - RM1.45).

Dengan harga yang lebih murah dan Rakyat dapat menggunakan petrol daripada gred RON97 yang lebih berkualiti....  RON97 berharga RM1.45 seliter! Macam mimpi!

okay,,saya siyesly tak pernah terpikir pun pasal mende nie..bila baca artikel nie baru la terpikir..simple math je kot..nape la tak pernah terpikir sebelum nie..okay abaikan isu2 politik..tak minat pun politik nie..nyampah kot hari2 baca paper,,A tuduh B,,B fitnah C,,C maki A..the cycle never stop!and i've been there before eventhough it just politic in campus but the intervention make it no difference..and thanks to that,,i know how dirty politic is..

kita kena akui kalo harga minyak naik,,maka naik la semua harga barang...sape yg dah keje,,ade komitmen,,siyesly harga minyak dan harga barang sekarang siyely menyesakkan dada dan poket dan akaun..huhu

macam saya sendiri la kan,,untuk minyak je,,sebulan Rm100 before start belajar kat shah alam..skang dah naik RM200 sebulan..tu baru pakai viva je,,RON95..belum masuk duit tol lagi..kalo harga RON97 harga RM1.45/liter,,sebulan baru RM100-RM150 je untuk ulang alik dari sg buloh-kota damansara-shah alam-sg buloh..boleh save dah kat situ..jap,,boleh cover duit tol kot!hehe manusia,,lumrah la suka benda yg murah..kalo dapat free lagi best..
